[Strikeforce]: Gegard Mousasi ed M-1 Global si dividono
Things have been quiet on the M-1 front over the past few months, with Alistair Overeem not having a fight lined up with Fedor Emelianenko yet and no contract negotiations between M-1 and UFC the mud-slinging towards M-1 has died down to just internet forum jokes. Mousasi's contract with M-1 Global tied him in with Fedor Emelianenko, to the point where booking Fedor meant booking Mousasi, which could be a possible reason for this. Gegard Mousasi should not live in anybody's shadow.
“After careful consideration, I have decided that it is in my best interest to part ways with M-1 Global,” Mousasi wrote in the e-mail. “During the time I spent under their wing, M-1 Global, as a promoter and management company, allowed me to achieve many great things. I appreciate all they have done for me.”
M-1 Global, based out of Holland and Russia, had guided the Armenian-Dutch fighter’s career to two championship titles in the last few years.
There is talk now about increased activity in DREAM while continuing to honor his Strikeforce contract.
